CBS's Newest Comedy: Partners.

It seems that once a year, CBS tries out at least one new comedy show that is ultimately doomed to fail from the beginning. This year, it's Partners. This show is nice, but it's not great, and would definitely be my last pick if I had to choose between almost any other comedy on television right now.

To sum it up: four people, three "partners". Joe and Louis are best friends since childhood. Joe is engaged to Ali. Louis is dating Wyatt. There's a gay joke ever two sentences. The end.

I love that CBS is adding more gay to their programs, but how the two gays are portrayed in this are absolutely outrageous. One is overly flamboyant and someone who I'd want to punch in the face if I met them in real life, the other is played by hunky-Superman himself, and is a soulless blob of nothing.

When I saw that Brandon Routh was going to be on this, I got so excited, it was ridiculous. Any show with some Superman flavor has my attention ;) But this is Brandon Routh at a low point for me. His acting is just terrible.

Then the other three were just rounded up randomly, thown into a mix, with the hope that they'd work out together. This cast is horrible. I think David Krumhotlz and Michael Urie work okay together, but I don't like either of them really. And Sophia Bush? I guess she had nothing better to do after the finale of One Tree Hill.

My prediction: this show will be cancelled before the end of the year. I will probably be watching to the end, in hopes that they fire the writers and create something better.
