American Horror Review

*WARNING: TONS OF AMERICAN HORROR STORY SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVN'T SEEN THE FINALE*

Spoilers ahead! BEWARE!!

Note to television writers/producers: if you create a show that ends up killing off almost every single main character during the first season, it's gonna end up being my favorite new show of the year! That's what happened with American Horror Story, and aside from the entire cast dying off, there's a long list of reasons why this show was amazing! For one, you get to see Dylan McDermott's very very nice butt ;) The entire season was well thought out, well organized, creepy, and just SPECTACULAR! I hope Jessica Lange was happy with this being her first big television role, because I sure was =)

My favorite character, though, was the housekeeper, Moira. I want to go out and buy the complete series of Six Feet Under just to see more of Frances Conroy!

Last week, Ryan Murphy announced that he plans to change the cast and location for season 2... Which means that there will likely be no more Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, ect =( But I also read that some of the major characters might return with cameos or something.. o.O So my fingers are crossed for more Moira! As she always seemed so distraught knowing her body was buried out back, so maybe we'll get some conclusion to that =)

My hopes are that season 2 has more episodes! THAT would be awesome! And really hoping we don't have to wait all the way until next October for more, but that is very unlikely..

Sherlock Downey, Jr.

I'm going to come out and say that I'm probably one of the few select people in this worth that doesn't really like Robert Downey, Jr. I didn't like him in Iron Man, and I thought Iron Man 2 was one of the most boring movies ever, and I faintly remember what even happened in it.

That said, I absolutely LOVED him in Sherlock Holmes. This role I think is absolutely perfect for him. This movie doesn't really fall into the category of movies I usually watch, which is probably why it took me over 2 years from its original release to even watch it, but I really enjoyed it! The movie had great action, loads of mystery, and the perfect touch of comedy!

Every single character was beautifully cast, the sets were spectacular, the props and costumes were spot on! Watching this really has me more interested in seeing the sequel that's in theaters now!

I think, I think I love Beastly.

Beastly was AAA-MAZING!!! Only problem, was how bad some of Alex Pettyfer's lines were.. Ex: "I think, I think I love you.."...seriously? I don't blame Alex for how horrible that line sounded coming out of his mouth, that would be the writer's fault. And they whole part with them whispering outside the zoo.....Alex Pettyfer sounds like a creep when he whispers >.<

But I love love loveeeed Mary-Kate in this :D She's one bad-ass witch! And Vanessa Hudgens is just down right adorable ^-^

Had this movie had better scripting, it would have killed. Also, Alex Pettyfer can't pull off ugly. Even with all the tattoos and weird face blemishes, he was still hot. o.O But if you want a good adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, this is the movie for it!

3 Days Later...How My Christmas Went.

Our main Christmas event took place on Christmas Eve this year! Got all the aunts, uncles, and cousins from my mom's side (including my grandparents), to come over for dinner and a small present opening ceremony. Tried to get some from my dad's side over, but they are rarely around in the first place, so that cause was lost before it even began..

But overall, I'd say the whole thing was a success =) The entire has was spotless from top to bottom (even wrapped by dad's HUGE 120 gallon fish tank that he just got in wrapping paper to hide its ugliness since it couldn't be moved!). And there was SO MUCH GOOD FOOD =) However, like Thanksgiving, my grandma decided to experiment with her foods =/ and she really needs to stop. like now. She made some crazy ravioli-lasagna, with cottage cheese, and decided to put cranberries and rice krispies in her no bake cookies >.< After everyone left, we had Christmas that night with my grandparents =)

Then came Christmas morning.. Getting woke up at 8am on a day off to watch a bunch of ungrateful children open presents (I can be included in the "ungrateful children" category, as I'll admit I was a bit pissed off that my one and only present still had yet to arrive in the mail, so I had nothing to open up Christmas morning..). I'm glad that went by fast, so we could go back to our normal lives.

So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! =)

Thorring!!

Thor would have been much better had there been less talking and more action! Overall, I thought the film was bad-ass, and definitely the beginning of a movie franchise.

But my thoughts on Chris Hemsworth are all over the place. His acting....not the spectacular. And I don't like his face.. if it were me, the camera would be focused on those abs 100% of the time. ;D It might just be that I haven't seen a lot from him, but next year with The Avengers and Snow White & the Huntsman, I should have a final decision by then.

But this was probably my favorite Stan Lee cameo in a Marvel movie, so that was pretty awesome =)

Kevin James, Zookeeper.

Normally, I don't really like Kevin James as an actor. I find most of his work outrageously unfunny, and pathetic. But this was probably one of my favorite films by him! I wanted to see this movie because 1) I love animals and 2) I wanted to be a zookeeper at one point. So I thought it'd be fun to watch this movie. And I was right!

This is a perfect family movie that both kids and adults could love! I watched it with both my younger siblings (7 and 12), and eventually my 16-year-old sister even walked in and got into it! Talking animals = good for kids. Big name celebs like Cher, Adam Sandler, and Sylvester Stallone voicing said animals = good for adults.

Crazy, Stupid, Slightly Entertaining, Love.

I wouldn't describe Crazy, Stupid, Love. as anything more than slightly entertaining. The only part I didn't see coming was that Hannah was the Weavers' daughter. I must have missed something at the beginning or whatever..

This is one of those movies where you only watch it because of one actor, and that actor lives up to your hopes and dreams, but the others kinda ruin it for you. Emma Stone is going to be my best man at my wedding because I love her so much, then you have Steve Carell there being the drunken cousin who ruins it all...  Steve Carell has shown me he can only do one type of acting, but for some reason people choose to watch that same type over and over and OVER again. He bores me. But this gets me even more excited to see Emma Stone in the Amazing Spider-man next year :D And I also ordered The Help to be my next choice from Netflix just to keep my Emma Stone high going ;D haha

This movie is very typical and predicatable. And only worth seeing for Emma Stone...and for Ryan Gosling taking his shirt off..

You're Welcome. :)

View Rant By Clicking The Link

I can't decide whether yesterday was more stressful than today or vice versa.. Yesterday I had to do some shopping for Trent's birthday, and then I had an interview at Kohl's AT 10 O'CLOCK AT NIGHT!!! >:(

The interview went pretty well (from what I thought..) and then Sean bought me a big shelf rack for my DVDs :) Sooo...I guess yesterday wasn't that bad, it was just exhausting..

BUT TODAY...omfg >.< Woke up at 11am (because we got home really late from last night..), then at noon Sean & I decided to do a full water change on the fish tank.. (meaning we emptied all the water, took out all the rocks, cleaned the the muck off the plants and rocks, cleaned the filter, ect.) so that took about 3 hours... and then we put together the DVD stand. Which Sean had to do many points over from putting pieces backwards xD lmao. So that took another 2 hours, and in the mean time, Trent's birthday party was going on >.<

It's been about 2.5 hours since we put the DVD shelf together. and I still don't have the room fully put back together >:o Every time I start to do something, I get really flustered and quit...so I made this rant. I'm so exhausted x( Tomorrow will be a 110% lazy day for me, no work what. so. ever!

Sean's Month-iversary Present: Me Ruining his $120 watch...

I attempted to be a good boyfriend, and do something sweet for Sean for our 8 month-iversary...and I ended up ruining a $120 watch D:

For months now, the battery has been dead in his watch, and then the strap ended up snapping. I figured it'd be a sweet boyfriend thing to fix it as a surprise for our 8 months...So, I moseyed on over to my grandparents yesterday to see what their expertise could do. Got there, showed it to my grandma, and instantly she suggested some glue stuff that should hold it. After I put some of it in, it seemed good, but she wanted to put a couple stitches in just to make sure it would hold, so I was like "yeah, okay.."...and she went at it. And OMG, it looks bad D: my grandma does clothing stitches AMAZINGLY, but she should stick to clothes, not leather watches... :( Now I feel horrible, and Sean probably wants to shoot me... though he won't admit it..

And also, got a new battery from my grandpa...but hey, Fossil watches are pressurized, so I can't get into it D: fml....

That's the last time I attempt to fix something.. >.<

The Apocalypse Is Here!!

Is giving up the satellite for a couple months so that you can have extra Christmas money a sign of the Apocalypse? I think it is. 'Cause right now I am experience near-death symptoms. Like boredom, confusion, and lust. (Idk how these are near-death symptoms, but whatever..haha)

Boredom just from not having anything new to watch >.<

Confusion, as I don't watch episodes, the story lines get butchered D:

And lust...for new episodes of American Horror Story, Grimm, Glee, The Big Bang Theory, ect >_<

If my interview at Kohl's goes well tomorrow, hopefully I'll get the job, and then I'll definitely be paying a bill for mis padres do get things here back to normal!! =)

Leaving So Soon?

For awhile now, I've been hoping that Sean and I get out of this house! THIS HOUSE AIN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR THE BOTH OF US! :] And a few weeks ago, Sean discussed moving in with his cousin and her boyfriend in Champaign when their lease is up in May and they want to get a new place.

And I was actually very excited for that, seeing as how we'd be closer (as in, actually in) the city, and it'd be much easier for me to find/get to a job! (And I have an interview at Kohl's Friday, so fingers crossed!)

But I just found out about an hour or so ago, that we might be moving sometime next month! WHICH IS EVEN MORE AWESOME-ER!! :D So yeah, that's the big thing going on in my life right now..

Any advice for a new renter? Or you have anything you want to donate that we might need for an empty house? :] lmao

Eastdown & Bound

I bought seasons one and two and Eastbound & Down for Black Friday! After watching them, let me just say, that Kenny Powers is probably one of my least favorite TV show characters in history. This show would probably have been so much better had it been following the life of Aaron, or someone with more of a comedic life!

I was so bummed when Katy Mixon (April) wasn't put on as series regular for season 2 :( Hopefully for the third, AND FINAL, season she gets a full season spot :)

This show will never make it into my list of favorite TV shows of all time, but it is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine :]

Super Ate!

Super 8....wow. Just....THIS MOVIE WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING! I definitely see Elle Fanning being bigger than her older sister! And I could also see all the other kid actors going on to be big in the future, especially Joel Courtney (Joe)!

The story was superb and the graphics were pretty sweet! The train wreck and spaceship scenes are what make this movie worth seeing!

And lastly, may I ask........sequel, please? :)

Captain Americ-awesome!

Probably one of the best superhero movies I have seen in a good ol' while!! =) Only thing that threw me for a bit of a loop, was whatever they did to get Chris Evans non-hunkish looking at the beginning.. his head definitely did not match his body!

And I'm not a comic-book person, so beforehand I hadn't really known the story or whatever of Captain America, nor his archenemies. Like Red Skull, first look at him, you'd think he could be a brother or cousin of Voldemort, who was simply dumped into some red dye.. o.O

But all in all, my title says it all: AWESOME! Five star material right hurrr!

Sofia Goes To Jail

Madea Goes To Jail was awwweeeesome! I've just recently started to watch Tyler Perry's films, this is my third or fourth I've watched. I could watch this movie over and over again.

And to my surprise, SOFIA VERGARA WAS IN IT!!! OMtotheFG!! She was pretty much the scene stealer for every part she was in. T.T. was my absolute favorite character in this movie, and just to see her would be all the reason needed to watch!

The Worst Bridesmaids Ever

All I've heard about this movie is how awesome it is! And all the actresses were all spectacular! And la de da!

Well, I felt this was one of the worst movies I have seen all year! It was just completely stupid and was trying too hard to get a joke across 90% of the time!

The ONLY reason I even sparked interest in this movie, was that Melissa McCarthy was in it. And she was one of the only characters in this movie I actually enjoyed! I wanted to punch Annie in the face for most of the pathetic I've lost my spark and I need a man to complete me scenes she bombed!

I will NEVER watch this travesty again!
